St. Leon Wind Energy is a 99 MW wind farm located approximately 150 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg in the town of St. Leon Manitoba. It is the first of its kind in the Province of Manitoba and one of the largest wind energy developments in Canada.
A single wind turbine-generator can generate up to 1.65 MW of power. The turbines start generating at a minimum wind speed of three metres per second, always turning at 14.4 rpm.
A 99 MW wind farm is capable of powering approximately 41,000 homes.

Union Station opened in 1911, and was designed by Warren & Wetmore, the architects responsible for Grand Central Station in New York City.
The trainshed, which includes a total of eight through tracks and four passenger platforms, houses the Winnipeg Railway Museum on two tracks and two platforms.
Union Station extends for some 350 feet along Main Street and is not quite symmetrical.

The exterior walls of Manitoba's Legislative Building and much of the building's interior are Tyndall stone, quarried at Garson, about 20 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
The Legislative Building is located in the south part of downtown Winnipeg on 12 hectares (30 acres) of magnificently landscaped grounds.
This building is the third used by Manitoba's legislative assembly. The Main Street home of A.G.B. Bannatyne hosted the first assemblies. The second building used stood on the same grounds as the current one.

Seven Sisters Generating Station is Manitoba Hydro's largest producer of electricity on the Winnipeg River in southeastern Manitoba.
The generating station operates at a maximum capacity of 150 megawatts (MW) and can produce, when water conditions are ideal, an average of about 990 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per average year.
When Seven Sisters had reached 50 years of age in 1979, a major six-year rehabilitation project was conducted to extend its productive life another 50 years.

Whiteshell Provincial Park is a 2,729 km2 park centrally located in Canada in the province of Manitoba. It can be found in the southeast of the province along the Manitoba-Ontario border, approximately 130 km east of Winnipeg.
The name of the park is derived from the cowrie shells that were used in ceremonies by the Ojibway, Anishinaabe, and Midewiwin.
In 1734, Louis-Joseph Gaultier de La Verendrye was the first European to explore the area during his quest for a route to the Western Sea.

A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Darrell has gone on to obtain many financial distinctions, such as Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Investment Manager, and Financial Management Advisor. He also serves on the Manitoba board of IIROC.

 

Darrell grew up in rural Saskatchewan, and maintains strong connections to his rural roots. He currently lives with his family on an acreage near Teulon, MB. In his spare time, Darrell coaches baseball, and is very active in his sons' sports and extra-curricular activities.

Jeff assists Darrell with client administration which includes asset transfers, cash and RRIF payments, statement queries, quotations, and maintaining all client file documentation. He has been in the financial industry for 28 years and has achieved the designations of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and Financial Management Advisor (FMA). He has also been the Assistant Branch Manager of our location since 2005.

 

Jeff was born and raised on a cattle ranch in the Interlake. He enjoys the outdoors, and sharing a good laugh with family and friends.

Peter is very involved in his community of Transcona, with playground and park development as well as being a key member of the Transcona Centennial Planning Committee. In his spare time, you will find Peter and his wife at various arenas watching their grandchildren playing hockey.
